Be Not Afraid | Meditation
"Welcome to this Amen meditation. Are you afraid of the unknown? Perhaps you're going through some changes in your life. Maybe you face some big decisions, or maybe you're anxious about the culture trends, politics, or any number of situations that can threaten our peace.
We are lovingly reminded in Isaiah chapter 41, verse 13, that I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand. It is I who say to you, fear not. I am the one who helps you. Fear not. Do not be afraid. These expressions are repeated again and again throughout the Old and New Testaments. In fact, variations of these words can be found 365 times throughout the scriptures. Being not afraid is a daily reminder from our God.
No matter where you are, no matter what fears you have, you are not alone. Look at your right hand. Guess who is holding it? The Lord your God. Take a moment to let that sink in. The creator of the universe is guiding you through the unknown, through every dark turn, every rocky path, and every uncertain step.
Will you hold fast to the Father's hand? Take a deep breath. Inhale the Father's peace. Exhale every worry that has been consuming your mind.
Let's pray together. Heavenly Father, thank you for hearing me. Thank you for being a loving Father. Because of your gentle leading, I am feeling less and less afraid and more settled by your loving care. Even when life feels uncertain, I can rest in the certain knowledge of your presence and love. Amen.
Spend a few more uninterrupted moments with the Lord. Be not afraid.
The Lord your God is with you. Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Amen."
