About the Design
The 0.81 by 0.71 inch medal shows the Virgen de Guadalupe in her traditional image, standing on the crescent moon and surrounded by rays of light. The back is smooth and plain. It is finished with a 10-micron 24K gold plating, a generous layer for a plated piece, in a soft matte gold finish that brings out the detail of the relief. Small connectors on each side of the medal hold a flat, 0.39-inch-wide elastic velvet band that stretches to slip on and adjusts with a sliding gold-plated ring. The bracelet arrives on a black velvet band, with three more bands in garnet, aqua, and navy blue included in the box, so one medal becomes four different looks.
