Our Lady of Guadalupe Stud Earrings in Sterling Silver and Solid 14K Gold
These Our Lady of Guadalupe earrings are made to be worn, not kept in a drawer. Each stud has a .925 sterling silver center bearing the image of the Virgen de Guadalupe, set in a handmade solid 14K yellow gold bezel. The bright silver keeps every detail clear, and the warm gold frames it.
They are the matching earrings to the charm bracelet in our Guadalupe 1804 Collection, handmade in Mexico by the same goldsmith.
How They Are Made
The silver centers are die-struck from an antique Mexican steel die. Striking compresses the metal and produces sharper relief than casting, which is why the inscription N.S.D. Guadalupe de México 1804 stays legible around the image at this small size.
The goldsmith's workshop also supplies the gift shops of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Each bezel is shaped and closed by hand around its silver center. The bezels, posts, and ball-shaped screw backs are all solid 14K yellow gold. Nothing is plated or gold-filled.
Round or Oval: Which Should You Choose?
Round, 12.5 mm (about 1/2 inch). A beaded outer border surrounds the image. This design has more presence on the ear.
Oval, 11 x 8.8 mm (about 7/16 x 3/8 inch). Slightly smaller and more delicate, for someone who prefers a quieter everyday earring.
Each size matches the charms on the corresponding bracelet. Both designs use the same materials and are sold as a pair.
The Devotion Behind the Image
In December 1531, Our Lady appeared to Saint Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac. She spoke to him in Nahuatl, called him the smallest of her children, and left her image on his tilma. That tilma still hangs in the Basilica in Mexico City, and her feast is celebrated on December 12.
Wearing her image is a simple way to keep her words close: "Am I not here, I who am your Mother?"

A Gift That Lasts
A meaningful gift for a mother, daughter, grandmother, godmother, or quinceañera, and for women entering the Catholic Church through Confirmation or OCIA. They suit the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother's Day, Día de las Madres, birthdays, and anniversaries. Give them with the matching Our Lady of Guadalupe charm bracelet for a complete set.
Care
Sterling silver darkens naturally over time. Wipe the earrings with a soft cloth after wearing and use a silver polishing cloth when the silver dulls. Avoid liquid dips and abrasive cleaners. Remove them before showering, swimming, exercising, or applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion, and store them in their box between wearings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do these earrings match the Guadalupe charm bracelet?
Yes. The same goldsmith makes them, and they share the same silver image, solid 14K gold bezels, and charm sizes. Choose round or oval to match the bracelet you own or plan to give.
Are the posts and backs solid gold?
Yes. The posts and screw backs are solid 14K yellow gold, the same as the bezels.
How do the backs work?
Each earring has a ball-shaped back that screws onto the post. Screw backs hold more securely than standard push backs, so the earrings are less likely to slip off during the day. Turn the back clockwise to fasten and counterclockwise to remove.
Can I return them?
For hygiene reasons, and because they are made with handmade solid gold components, earrings are final sale.
